Sultan's
Cup Terengganu Endurance Challenge

This competition tests the endurance of competing horses in
four categories, i.e 120km, 80km, 40km and 26km. Some 15 countries
such as Korea, Indonesia, Thailand, Brunei, Australia, UAE
and US are expected to participate in this competition which
will be the official trial race for the FEI World Endurance
2008.

Mount Kinabalu International Climbathon

Touted as 'The World's Toughest Mountain Race', this race
involves a run up
and down the majestic Mount Kinabalu (4095.2). The total distance
is 21km
for all categories. The average climber takes two days to
climb the mountain
but participants of the race can make it in less than three
hours. The race
determines the ultimate Champion of the 7-series Federation
for Sport at
Altitude's (FSA) Skyrunning World Championship (racing on
high altitude).

50 Years of Nationhood - Merdeka Month Celebration

August 31, 2007 commemorates Malaysia's 50th year of independence
or 'Merdeka'. This historic event is celebrated in a joyous
mood by Malaysians from all walks of life over a one month
including parades, exhibitions of Malaysia's history and fireworks
displays, culminating in a grand parade attended by Their
Majesties; The King and Queen of Malaysia, Prime Minister,
dignitaries and the public. A free open-air concert is held
on the eve of Merdeka.
